Reson8 named one of Europe's Top 100 AI startups in the Sifted AI 100 2026

Reson8 is #82 in the Sifted AI 100, Sifted’s ranking of Europe’s most promising AI-native startups in 2026, sponsored by N47. We were founded this year, and at 10 people we’re the leanest company on the list. Read the full report here.

How the list was made

Sifted started from 1,500 eligible European AI startups and narrowed them down to 175. A panel from Sifted and N47 then scored each one on market opportunity, competitive differentiation, and momentum. Reson8 is one of eight model companies in the final 100 list. While most companies build applications on top of models, we build the layer underneath them.

Why it matters for speech recognition

Sifted’s report recognizes that Europe’s fragmented, multilingual markets reward companies that specialize in specific languages or applications. This is most obvious in speech, where generic speech-to-text models are often trained for English, leading to higher error rates on other languages and audio with accents or complex vocabulary.

That’s the problem we work on, speech recognition that can be trusted beyond clean English audio, across languages, accents, and complex vocabulary. Customers like VEED, Obsidian, and Jack & Jill (#17 on this year’s list) already use it in production.

Not our first company

Two of our cofounders previously built Juvoly, the medical scribe used by the majority of general practitioners in the Netherlands. In 2025, it was sold to Tandem Health. Tandem tops this year’s ranking.

About Reson8

Reson8 gets the words right that matter most. Generic speech models mishear medication names, order numbers, addresses, and case references. Reson8’s speech-to-text adapts to your domain-specific terminology in real time or from a single text upload, no fine-tuning or audio samples needed.

Teams use it for voice agents, medical scribes, meeting notetakers, contact center analysis, captioning, legal transcription, and more. Built for European languages including English, running on our own GPU infrastructure in the Netherlands: zero audio retention, no training on customer data.

Reson8 is the speech-to-text (STT) product of Resonate Labs B.V., Amsterdam, backed by Balderton Capital and NP-Hard Ventures. Not affiliated with other companies named Reson8.
